Bentley are noted for the distinct classic styling of their cars. Blended with some of the finest modern day engineering, Bentley automobiles are sought after the world over by superstars and celebrities. There is a certain feeling of high class that comes with the ownership of a Bentley which other manufacturers find hard to replicate. Thus, owning a Bentley is unlike owning any other automobile. The Bentley Continental GT is possibly the most famous of the Bentley models and rightly so. Its styling is classic, something straight out of the 1950s or 1960s and is just as attractive today as it was back then. There is something to be said for Bentley`s persistence in keeping the same look that has served them so well over the years. The interior of the Continental GT is a little less luxurious than one usually gets with a Bentley but it is still well crafted and solid, using some of the finest materials around. It includes all the modern day amenities and is not overly cluttered. It is a smart interior that should satisfy, without hugely impressing, any customer. For a car that looks bulky with its wide and round front including the classically styled grille and headlamps, it still flies like a supercar on the highways. Underneath the hood of this high-class coupe or convertible rests a 6 litre, twin-turbocharged W-12 engine. A modern day goliath that pumps out 552bhp. This should get the Bentley to 60mph in under 5 seconds and keep powering it up to just under 200mph. If the base model is not fast enough, then there are options for more power with two other engines. The first can get push out around 600bhp and is available for both coupe and convertible and the second, only available for the coupe can max out at around 620bhp and get the Bentley over that magic 200mph. The Bentley comes with all the standard safety measures, such as ABS, front, side and side curtain airbags. Stability and Traction control are also included. The car drives well enough, although it is certainly not the best, however, the performance levels sure do compensate for this minor issue. The pricing of the Bentley is around what one would expect for a car of this class and power. Starting at around 115,000 pounds, this car, when certain options are chosen, can cost the consumer up to in the region of 170,000 pounds. This is a very high price that pushes the car into rivalry with Aston Martin, Ferrari and the high end Mercedes vehicles. A mixture of tradition and modernity Bentley produce some truly unique vehicles that impress both on the inside and on the outside. The car can really fly as it reaches a potential top speed of over 200mph which rivals most supercars and it looks great as well. The fuel economy is rather poor and, mixed with the high price tag, means that this car is out of reach to all but the very highest of earners. Nevertheless it is an impressive piece of modern day engineering.
