Welcome to my Grace Pure Creamed Coconut Review. I’m going to start off by asking, have you ever wanted to make Vegan Fudge? If not, not worries, but if so then this food item you are going to love!
By using this Pure Creamed Coconut, dark chocolate, shredded coconut, along with just a little coconut milk, you can have the best vegan chocolate coconut fudge. It’ll be chewy and delicious. Just make sure to take the coconut oil off of the creamed coconut, as you’ll find you have a coconut oil layer and creamed coconut layer as it separates due to density. You’ll just want to use the creamed coconut layer.
I discovered this Creamed Coconut when I was looking for butter alternatives while at Wal-Mart, as I can’t have dairy right now. What a great find! If you are looking for a product with just 1 ingredient, no preservatives that’ll make a yummy dessert, then this is it. Notably, it is high in Saturated fats, but there are no Trans Fats.
For someone on the Ketogenic diet, this would be a great item in your pantry.
So, what can you do with this other than fudge, or as a butter alternative? Use it as a coconut milk replacement, add it to your curries, stir fry’s, and other savoury dishes.
It recommends on the package for you to take 3 tablespoons of it, and melt it in 142 ml of hot water. Then you beat it well to form a thick sauce and add to fruit for a delicious dessert.
It is a product of Sri Lanka (Coconuts are not grown in Canada), and it is packaged in Canada; the Grace Brand is Canadian. I’m going to add it to the Made in Canada section, as it has been packed in Canada. That being said, I will message them to find out if they designate themselves as a Made in Canada product. Will keep you posted!
