It was an early morning today, and I felt like a healthy breakfast with lots of fruit! When thinking of what breakfast place to dine-out at that offers a wide selection of seasonal fruits, Cora’s is the place to go. I opted to have the Peggy’s Poached Breakfast which consisted of about 3 ounces of cottage cheese in a little cup, one medium poached egg on dry “not buttered” multigrain bread, and a good cup, or so of mixed fruits. The meal also came with two more slices of toast, which I didn’t finish. Yet, overall this was a healthy breakfast.
I liked how the eggs were poached, and there was a wide variety of different fruits offering many different vitamins.
I really did consume a wide variety of fruits this morning: banana’s cantaloupe chunks, sliced grapes, pieces of pineapple, oranges, kiwi’s, strawberries, melon, and slices of nectarine.
If you are looking for a healthy breakfast that offers a lot of fruit, this is the place to go.
A poached egg and lots of seasonal fruits! The fruit doesn’t have any extra sugary sirup. A low salt meal, and no butter makes this quite a good healthy choice that is nutritious.
The portion sizes are very generous, so if you eat small amounts than you may have to get a takeout container. The fruits are flavourful, but overall, it isn’t a wam-bam moment for your taste buds.
